When anyone is diagnosed with cancer there is an immediate and very real dependence on every word that comes out of the mouths of doctors and oncologists. When you hear that there is nothing that can be done for you because of the particular type of cancer you happen to have, it is a very hard reality you are forced to comprehend.

In fact the doctors and oncologists only have answers and plans for sarcoma treatment as a direct result of the research that has been conducted. No research can be done until there is a body of data from which to begin analysing the cancer. Whilst not a very sophisticated-sounding exercise, the establishment of this pool of data compiled on a national basis is the  corner-stone in treating Sarcomas or any other type of cancer.

The first objective of the Rainbows for Kate Foundation is to establish this database of information.
